Program Support Assistant

Duties are varied, non-routine, and consist of handling data and coordination for program patients, registration for My HealtheVet, managing clinics for real time Clinical Video TeleHealth events, including patient education activities, technical and scheduling activities, and other program support duties, as assigned. Additional duties include:
Assists in enrollment, disenrollment, and troubleshooting and non-responding activities on telehealth equipment and documenting these as appropriate; Receives and processes documents and reports in accordance with established procedures; Implements nationally standardized protocols for incoming data, organizes and maintains patient data, and retrieves a variety of computerized data; Tracks issues related to program effectiveness and role implementation as defined by national protocols; Keeps Home Telehealth Lead apprised of patient census and any changes/problems that might be encountered; Establishes and maintains inventory of all telehealth equipment; Monitors use of services, supplies, and equipment for the program; Gains and maintains computer skills on a variety of software programs such as word processing, file management, Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) program, Excel spreadsheets, etc.; Collects, manages, and enters data in a timely fashion; Operates web-based software for the telehealth program as well as other databases; Attains basic competencies in operation of the telehealth equipment; Maintains a calendar of appointments of patients; Coordinates meetings, conferences, and takes meeting minutes; Prepares travel documents; Utilizes statistical data to compile reports; and, Performs all other duties as assigned. Experience:
You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of a Program Support Assistant, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience is experience providing clerical and/or administrative support performing a full range of standard and non-standard clerical assignments; recording and preparing meeting minutes; utilizing knowledge of correspondence requirements to prepare memoranda, letters, meeting notes, and other documents; maintaining records and files; scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and/or scheduling conferences; maintaining calendars and schedules for staff; and using automated systems to track data and create reports. NOTE:

Successfully completed four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education (beyond the second year) and specialized experience, as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
